What BrilliantTrack is
BrilliantTrack is a fleet and asset monitoring platform combining GPS and GSM telematics hardware with a control-room application. It tracks vehicles, plant, generators, cold-chain units and tagged fixed assets in real time, and turns that stream into the four numbers an operations director actually needs: where the asset is, how it is being used, how much fuel it is consuming, and when it is next due for maintenance. It is bought by haulage and distribution firms, oil and gas service companies, government transport fleets, agricultural processors and hospital groups running vaccine and blood cold chains.
The problem is unmeasured cost. In a fleet without telematics, fuel is the largest controllable expense and the least controlled one: siphoning at night, short-delivery at the pump and unauthorised weekend trips are common and effectively invisible. Vehicles are serviced when they break rather than on schedule, so a ₦90,000 oil change becomes a ₦2.4 million engine. Assets bought two years ago cannot be located at audit. Drivers are blamed after accidents rather than coached before them.
BrilliantTrack addresses each of those with evidence. Calibrated fuel-level sensors show the tank profile minute by minute, so a sudden drop while the engine is off raises an alert with a location and a timestamp. Geofences around depots, customer sites and restricted areas record entry and exit. Route replay reconstructs any journey for a dispute. Driver behaviour scoring aggregates harsh braking, rapid acceleration, cornering, speeding and idling into a weekly league table that supervisors can act on. Maintenance is scheduled on odometer or engine hours rather than memory.
The platform is deployed and supported by our managed services practice, which runs more than 12,000 active endpoints and attained 99.95 per cent uptime in FY2025. We install the hardware ourselves in Kano, Abuja, Lagos and at client sites nationwide, calibrate every fuel sensor on the vehicle it will serve, and can operate the control room on your behalf if you would rather not staff one.

Draw depots, customer premises, restricted areas and route corridors on the map, and raise alerts on entry, exit, unauthorised stops or dwell time beyond a configured threshold.

Evidence
Reconstruct any journey second by second with speed, stops and events overlaid, export the trace for a customer dispute or an insurance claim, and retain history for the period you specify.

Calibrated capacitive sensors profile the tank continuously, detect siphoning and short-delivery at the pump, reconcile issued litres against consumption, and alert with location and timestamp.
Driver Behaviour Scoring
Safety
Score harsh braking, rapid acceleration, sharp cornering, over-speeding and excessive idling into a weekly index per driver, with league tables and coaching reports for supervisors.
Maintenance Scheduling
Uptime
Trigger services on odometer reading, engine hours or elapsed time, hold the job history and parts used per vehicle, and warn before licence, insurance and roadworthiness certificates expire.
Asset Tagging (QR / RFID)
Registers
Tag generators, plant, laptops and furniture with QR or RFID labels, hold a full asset register with custodian and location, and run verification counts from an Android handset.

Fixed assets

Tracking is priced as a one-off hardware and installation charge per unit plus a monthly platform subscription that includes the data SIM, hosting and support. Prices are per unit and exclude VAT.

Where the savings actually come from
Clients usually justify BrilliantTrack on fuel alone, and fuel alone usually pays for it within the first two quarters. The larger long-term gain is maintenance discipline and utilisation: knowing that a third of your fleet does eighty per cent of the work changes how you buy the next ten vehicles.
We install and calibrate every sensor ourselves rather than shipping a box, because an uncalibrated fuel sensor produces alerts nobody believes, and a platform nobody believes gets switched off. Figures quoted are illustrative of typical engagements and vary with route profile, fleet age and how firmly management acts on the exception reports.

How we deploy BrilliantTrack
A fleet of 100 vehicles is normally fully installed and live within six to ten weeks, working around your operating schedule.
Requirements workshop
Two to three days with transport, operations, finance and security. We profile the fleet by vehicle type and route, agree which assets need fuel sensors, and define the alerts that will actually be acted upon.
Configuration
Vehicle and asset registers, driver records, geofences, route corridors, alert rules, escalation paths, maintenance schedules and user roles are configured before any hardware is fitted.
Data migration
Existing vehicle registers, service histories, licence and insurance expiry dates, driver lists and asset schedules are loaded, so the platform starts with your real history rather than an empty database.
Installation and calibration
Our technicians fit trackers, fuel sensors and probes in batches so the fleet keeps working, then calibrate every fuel sensor on its own vehicle by controlled fill and drain. Each installation is photographed and signed off.
Integration
We feed trip and fuel data into your fuel management, maintenance or accounting system, connect to BrilliantInsight where the client runs it, and set up SMS and e-mail alert routing.
Training
Control-room operators, transport supervisors, workshop staff and drivers are each trained on their own view. Drivers are shown the scoring method openly, because a hidden score changes no behaviour.
Pilot and go-live
Twenty vehicles run for three weeks while alert thresholds are tuned to your routes, then the rest of the fleet is switched on. Exception reporting to management begins from the first full week.
Hypercare
Sixty days of enhanced support with weekly exception reviews, re-calibration of any sensor producing false positives, replacement of any faulty unit at no charge, and handover to the standard support desk.
