INDUSTRIES

Industries We Serve

Brilliant Esystems works in eight sectors of the Nigerian economy. In each one we understand the regulator, the procurement route, the budget cycle and the operational pressure that makes a technology project succeed or stall.

Sector Knowledge Is Not Decoration

A revenue platform for a state government and a branch network for a commercial bank may share the same database engine and the same firewall vendor, but they fail for entirely different reasons. The government platform fails when the chart of accounts does not match what the Accountant-General expects, or when the collecting bank cannot sweep to the Treasury Single Account on the same day. The bank fails when a branch link drops during a settlement window. Since 2014 we have delivered more than 320 projects, and almost all of the difficult lessons came from the sector, not from the technology.

That is why our delivery teams are organised around sectors rather than around products. A public-sector engagement is led from our Abuja office by people who have prepared Bureau of Public Procurement submissions and NITDA clearance packs, and who know that a fourth-quarter award means a January mobilisation. A financial services engagement is led from Victoria Island by engineers who have sat through Central Bank of Nigeria examinations and who write change records the way an examiner wants to read them. Health, education and agriculture work is run from Kano, close to the state ministries, hospitals and processing plants that use it.

Sector focus also shapes what we are willing to promise. Where a sector demands something we do not yet do well, or where we simply have no delivered reference to show you, we say so on the page itself and recommend a specialist rather than let you find out later. Two of the eight pages below carry exactly that admission. The rest set out what we have actually built, who we built it for, and what it is built on.

What Sector Experience Actually Buys You

These are the practical differences between a vendor who has worked in your sector and one who is learning on your budget.

  • A requirements workshop that starts from your existing forms, registers and returns rather than a generic template
  • Procurement documents written in the format your authority actually accepts, first time
  • Realistic timelines that respect budget release cycles, harvest seasons, examination windows and settlement calendars
  • Interfaces to the systems you already run — core banking, DHIS2, payroll, chart of accounts — scoped before contract, not discovered afterwards
  • Data migration plans that assume paper registers, inconsistent spellings and duplicate records, because that is what we always find
  • Training material written for the actual users, in plain English and where needed in Hausa
  • Regulatory evidence packs assembled as the project runs, so an examiner or auditor is never a surprise
  • Change control that knows which windows are untouchable in your sector
  • Support engineers who understand the difference between an inconvenience and a service-affecting outage in your business
  • Honest advice about what to phase into year two rather than force into a first release

Not sure which page applies to you?

Some clients sit across two sectors — a state-owned bank, a mission hospital with a school attached, an agro-processor with its own distribution arm. Call +234 802 913 8013 or write to [email protected] and describe the problem in your own words. We will route you to the sector lead who has done it before rather than to whoever answers first.

Tell us what you are trying to fix

A 45-minute conversation with the right sector lead is usually enough to tell you whether we are a good fit, what the work would cost and how long it would take.
