REWARD
Employee Benefits
What we provide beyond salary: family health cover, pension above the statutory minimum, a 13th-month payment, funded certification, and the practical support that makes a technology career in Nigeria sustainable.
Our Approach to Reward
We publish our salary bands, we review them every January, and we do not ask candidates what they currently earn. Beyond salary, our benefits are designed around what actually removes friction from the lives of people working in Nigerian enterprise technology: health cover that extends to your family rather than only to you, a pension contribution above the statutory floor, predictable annual payments you can plan around, and funded certification that makes you more valuable whether or not you stay with us.
Almost everything listed on this page begins on your first day. There is no six-month qualifying period for health insurance, group life assurance or pension enrolment, because a qualifying period simply transfers risk onto the person least able to carry it. The small number of benefits that do accrue with service — the leave entitlement above the base, relocation support and the higher learning budget — are set out clearly in the table below so that nothing about your package is a surprise after you accept.
The reward committee, chaired by Halima Aliyu Tudun Wada as Director, People & Culture, with Ibrahim Yusuf Rano, FCA as Chief Financial Officer, reviews the whole package annually against a market benchmark of Nigerian technology and financial services employers. Where we find we have fallen behind, we correct it in the January review rather than waiting for people to resign. Staff representatives from each practice sit on the committee and the benchmark findings are presented at the January all-hands.
Benefit Categories
Nine categories covering health, security, pay, time, learning, tools, mobility, money and recognition.
Health cover
From day one
Comprehensive HMO cover for you, your spouse and up to four children under eighteen. Out-patient and in-patient care, maternity, dental and optical, with a nationwide provider network including hospitals in Kano, Abuja and Lagos. Cover starts on your first day with no qualifying period, and there is a top-up option for additional dependants at a subsidised group rate.
Group life assurance
Three times annual salary
Group life assurance at three times annual gross salary, payable to your nominated beneficiaries, in line with the Pension Reform Act requirement and above the statutory minimum. Group personal accident cover applies twenty-four hours a day, including travel to client sites. Nominations are reviewed annually so that the record stays current.
Pension
12% employer contribution
Enrolment under the Pension Reform Act from your first month with your chosen Pension Fund Administrator. The company contributes 12% of your emolument against the 10% statutory minimum, and you contribute the standard 8%. Voluntary additional contributions can be deducted at source, and remittances are made within seven days of payroll with evidence published to staff.
Annual payments
13th month plus bonus
A 13th-month payment equal to one month of gross salary, paid with the December payroll to everyone with six months of service or more. A performance bonus on top of that, funded from company results and distributed against your annual review outcome — the FY2025 pool paid between 8% and 22% of annual salary depending on rating and grade.
Leave
20 to 30 days plus allowance
Annual leave of 20 to 30 working days depending on grade and service, plus a leave allowance of 10% of annual basic salary paid when you take your main block. Sixteen weeks of paid maternity leave, two weeks of paid paternity leave, and compassionate leave of up to five days for bereavement, with additional unpaid leave available on request.
Learning
₦450,000 a year
An annual learning budget of ₦250,000 to ₦750,000 depending on grade, averaging ₦450,000, covering certification training and examinations, conferences and books. Vendor certifications on our approved list are funded in full outside this budget. Learning Friday afternoons are protected company-wide and the ICT Training Academy runs internal bootcamps at no cost.
Tools and connectivity
Issued on day one
A specified laptop issued on your first day, refreshed on a three-year cycle, with engineering grades receiving a higher specification. A monthly data allowance of ₦25,000 to ₦40,000 by grade, a company mobile line for client-facing and on-call roles, and a one-off home working allowance of ₦150,000 for chair, desk and power backup.
Mobility and daily life
Hybrid, transport, lunch
Hybrid working of three days on site and two flexible for all eligible roles. Relocation support for grades E3 and above covering transport, an initial rent contribution and thirty days of temporary accommodation. At the Kano headquarters, a staff shuttle on the main routes and a subsidised canteen lunch at ₦500 per day.
Cooperative and recognition
Savings, loans, referrals
A registered staff cooperative offering savings, soft loans of up to three times monthly salary at concessionary rates, and a rent advance facility. A voluntary hajj and annual leave savings scheme with monthly deductions at source. A referral bonus of ₦250,000 for engineering hires and ₦150,000 for other roles, paid after the referred colleague completes six months.
Benefits by Staff Level
How the package scales across grades. Health cover, group life, pension, the 13th-month payment and parental leave are identical for everyone; leave, learning budget, allowances and relocation scale with grade.

How to Read This Page
Everything described here reflects our policy as at January 2026 and applies to permanent staff on Nigerian contracts across our Kano, Abuja and Lagos offices. Figures in Naira are gross and are reviewed each January by the reward committee. Where a benefit is provided by a third party — health cover through our HMO, life assurance through the insurer, pension through your chosen Pension Fund Administrator — the provider’s own terms and scheme rules apply, and those documents are issued to you during onboarding.
Your written contract and the staff handbook are the authoritative statement of your entitlement. Nothing on this page forms part of a contract of employment or creates an entitlement in itself. If you have accepted an offer and something in your documentation does not match what you read here, contact People & Culture on [email protected] before your start date and we will resolve it in writing.
